St Mary's Church

St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, circa 1940’s. The church opened on 2nd August, 1849, but without the intended spire, which was never built because of lack of funds. It replaced an earlier building called Burnley Wood chapel, which stood alongside Todmorden Road where Tarleton Avenue is now.
